We're looking for a dynamic and driven Project Manager to lead strategic and tactical projects that span environmental compliance, technology implementation, and business improvement, including our Smart Waste Systems project. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, piloting new technologies, engaging with vendors and industry forums, and delivering impactful outcomes across our operations.
What you'll do
As Project Manager, you will:
1. lead multiple projects from concept to delivery, ensuring milestones are met and outcomes achieved
2. develop and present project proposals addressing emerging business needs
3. coordinate cross-functional teams, including field operations, engineering, data analysts, and compliance
4. engage with internal stakeholders and external partners, including regulators, contractors, and technology vendors
5. lead project groups, engaging with a broad range of stakeholders
6. represent Wessex Water at internal working groups and external industry forums and conferences
7. drive continuous improvement and innovation across water recycling and network technology projects.
What you'll need
8. An energetic self-starter able to work on own initiative and work closely with a wide range of teams.
9. Proven experience in project management within the water, environmental, or utility sectors is desirable.
10. Strong understanding of telemetry, operational technologies, and wastewater services.
11. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
12. Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
13. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
14. A collaborative mindset with a passion for problem-solving and innovation.
15. Willingness to travel regionally for site visits and stakeholder engagement.
