Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical)

Salary: £45,000 starting salary rising to £47,500 after successful completion of 6-month probation
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Shifts: Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm
On-Call: 1 in 5 rota

The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a busy operational environment, ensuring equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and safe working practices at all times.
* Fault finding and repair on electrical and/or mechanical systems
* Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Reactive breakdown response
* Working on pumps, motors, conveyors, control systems, valves, and associated equipment
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records
* Working independently and as part of a wider engineering team
Essential Requirements
* Full UK driving licence
* Minimum 5 years' engineering experience
* Background within FMCG, industrial, or water/wastewater environments
* Multi-skilled capability with either electrical or mechanical bias
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Desirable
* Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, BOAS or equivalent)
* Experience working in fast-paced operational environments
* Knowledge of health & safety procedures and safe systems of work
