Employee Relations Advisor Part-time | 3 days per week | Hybrid | SheffieldSalary: Competitive (pro rata) Contract: Temporary - starting May 2026 until July 2026, with the possibility of extension Hays HR is delighted to be working with a well-established organisation based in Sheffield to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Advisor on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This is a hybrid role, combining home working with on-site presence in Sheffield. The role As Employee Relations Advisor, you will provide high-quality, pragmatic ER support to managers across the organisation. You will manage a busy and varied caseload, ensuring employee relations issues are handled consistently, fairly and in line with employment legislation and organisational policy. Key responsibilities include: Managing end-to-end employee relations casework, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, capability and performance issues Advising and coaching managers on ER best practice and employment law Supporting investigations, hearings and appeals, including preparation of relevant documentation Ensuring a consistent approach to ER matters across the organisation Contributing to the review and improvement of ER processes and policies What you'll need to succeed CIPD Level 5 qualification (essential) Significant experience across all aspects of employee relations casework, with the ability to manage cases autonomously Strong working knowledge of UK employment law Confident communicator, able to influence and challenge appropriately Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and sound judgement What you'll get in return A varied and hands-on ER role within a supportive team Flexible, part-time working (3 days per week) Hybrid working arrangement based in Sheffield Competitive pro-rata rate Opportunity for contract extension beyond July 2026 What you need to do nowIf you're an experienced Employee Relations professional available from May 2026 and looking for a high-quality part-time temporary role, click 'Apply Now' to submit your CV, or contact Hays HR in Sheffield for more information.
