Retail Security Officer – M&S
Location: Kendal. Salary: £13.58 per hour, guaranteed 40+ hours per week.
Job Overview
The role is a customer‑facing position in a premium retail environment. You will create a safe, supportive and welcoming atmosphere for customers and colleagues, maintain a secure environment and contribute positively to the overall customer journey.
Responsibilities
* Maintain a visible, welcoming and reassuring presence within the store.
* Support customers and colleagues professionally and confidently.
* Respond appropriately to incidents, theft and security concerns.
* Help de‑escalate challenging situations calmly and respectfully.
* Work collaboratively with store teams as part of the wider M&S environment.
* Deliver high standards of professionalism, communication and customer service at all times.

* 5 years trackable working history in the UK.
