We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Were looking for an experienced design engineer to help shape the future of the UKs energy infrastructure. Do you have a strong background in high-voltage substation design, and enjoy working on complex, multidisciplinary projects? Design substations that meet client needs, budgets, and deadlines
Help with tenders, contracts, and technical drawings
Work closely with teams and clients to deliver projects smoothly
Support and train engineers and CAD technicians
Join design reviews and help improve standards and processes
Follow safety, quality, and environmental rules (OHSAS 18001, ISO9001, ISO14001)
Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
~5+ years experience in power transmission and substation design
~ Strong knowledge of National Grid, British Standards, and UK design rules
~ Skilled in 2D CAD software (Autodesk preferred)
~ Able to quickly learn new engineering software
~ Experience with NGET stage 4.4 design and earthing up to 400kV
~ Knowledge of related areas: overhead lines, civil design, protection & control, HV cables
~ Bonus: MSc, chartership, expert in CDEGS, AutoCAD, and power system tools
