Overview
Senior Delivery Lead UKS - Bizz Apps at Avanade, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. This role focuses on delivering large and complex projects and programmes, driving customer satisfaction and growth as part of the leadership team.
Responsibilities
* Lead and be accountable for delivery of contracted solutions at the programme or project level, ensuring adherence to deal economics, schedule and quality standards.
* Manage overall project/programme risks, adjust plans as needed, and gain senior management buy-in for key project plans.
* Oversee development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive project work plans; ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project life cycle.
* Provide strategic direction for change management activities and support clients in change enablement processes.
* Identify growth opportunities for the account, the client, the team, and Avanade’s people.
* Mentor and develop team members; oversee relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Demonstrate strong client communication skills at all levels, including executive level, across cultures and languages.
* Act as escalation point for delivery issues and take a hands-on approach to course-correct troubled projects.
* Ensure consistent programme governance; attend and contribute to steering meetings and project progress updates.
* Manage client and team expectations; manage the sales process including evaluation of deliverability within budget, drafting/reviewing contracts, and ensuring staffing proposals are capable.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience delivering Dynamics 365 (Customer Engagement or ERP) for enterprise-level clients.
* Strong understanding of contract terms and expectations management.
* Proven use of project/program management disciplines with effective estimation, planning, and scope management.
* Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft platform technologies; deep knowledge of Microsoft Project and Azure DevOps (ADO) for project tracking and control.
* Knowledge of Earned Value reporting and its use in financial decision-making.
* Strong people management and mentoring abilities.
* PMI PMP or PgM certification and a Bachelor’s degree in a business or technology-related field are advantageous.
* Experience in IT and consulting environments with global external clients; direct people management experience for onshore and offshore resources.
