About The Role
Are you an experienced Sales Operations Engineer looking for a new challenge? Join our dynamic team as a Sales Operations Engineer specializing in New Equipment and Mods. As our new Sales Operations Engineer (SOE) you will receive requests for proposals from Account Managers or other Sales channels. You will then determine the appropriate Jones machine solution, develop the Cost/Pricing Worksheet and prepare the proposal. When Jones receive an order, you will prepare the BON document, conduct the Sales transfer meeting and make sure the transition is smooth when it’s handed over the business.
Responsibilities
1. Provide technical expertise and support to the Sale Managers and customers for Jones new equipment.
2. Configure the machine to be quoted based on the RFQ/URS submitted.
3. Assist Sales Managers with machine capabilities and machine list prices.
4. Complete site visits for technical surveys.
5. Prepare technical sales presentations for a variety of scenarios (proposals, technical discussions, exhibitions, open days etc)
6. Organise sample product and cans etc. for review prior to quotation.
7. Meet with Engineering, finance, and service teams to determine concepts and cost estimates for quotations.
8. Liaise with Service department and service Engineers to establish proposals for installation, commissioning, and training.
9. Prepare and submit quotations for proposal approval from appropriate departments.
10. Keep the CRM system current for all opportunities.
11. Manage price book, apply price increases, audit costings as required.
12. Responsible for updating and keeping current all Cost sheet templates and all proposal templates for their assigned machine lines.
13. Prepare Bon document when a PO is received for a machinery they proposed. Conduct the Sales transfer meeting and hand off to the business.
What You Need To Be Successful
14. Proven experience in Sales Operations or a similar role
15. Experience working within the machine manufacturing industry
16. Proficiency in developing cost/price worksheets to ensure accurate pricing
17. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with Account Managers, Sales channels, and internal teams.
18. Excellent presentation and communication skills to confidently communicate new equipment and modification offerings.
19. Proven ability to assist in exceeding aggressive sales development targets and strategies.
20. Strong skills in Microsoft Office
21. Some experience with AutoCAD is considered a bonus
