As a key part of the kitchen team, you'll craft daily meals for Residents, Staff, and Visitors, contributing to a positive dining experience. This role offers a calm working environment, workload management, and opportunities to interact socially outside the kitchen.
As a Bank Chef, your responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining food storage procedures and stock rotation according to established protocols.
* Preparing, planning, and cooking meals to high standards, accommodating special requests or dietary needs.
* Serving food and beverages professionally to Residents, Staff, and Visitors.
* Preparing foods for conferences and banquets.
* Participating in food costings and implementing effective cost control.
* Following 'Safer Food Better Business' standards and maintaining records.
* Adhering to Food Hygiene Regulations and safety procedures.
* Managing shift responsibilities for catering operations.
* Completing all necessary paperwork related to HACCP, including temperature logs and cleaning schedules.
Qualifications and experience required:
* Age 18 or older
* GCSE or equivalent in English
* City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 (or equivalent) in Basic Food Preparation and Cooking
* Basic Food Hygiene certification
* Experience in preparing high-quality food
* Knowledge of menu planning and costing
* Previous experience in delivery service
Workplace location:
Arncliffe Court Care Home
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote excellent food service.
