General Manager - WELL Runcorn Hub

The closing date is 22 March 2026

WELL Runcorn is a hub developed collaboratively by multiple partner organisations and the public across Halton. The brand represents organisations within the health, care and wellbeing, and education sector across the borough coming together to support the local population. As part of the Reconnecting Runcorn programme, the Hub supports regeneration of Runcorn town centre as well as providing a modern, accessible and purpose-built facility for people to attend appointments and seek advice for any challenges that may be impacting on their general health and wellbeing.

The service model is focussed on children, families and people living with long‑term conditions. Providers, including NHS organisations, the council, education providers and the third sector (including voluntary and community organisations) will come together to deliver multiple integrated services including:

* Community paediatrics
* Community midwifery
* Pain management
* Education sessions, including 14‑19 years and adult courses

The WELL Runcorn general manager will be the lead in co‑ordinating and facilitating integrated health, care, wellbeing and education services across multiple provider organisations. You will provide day‑to‑day management of the hub, supporting teams delivering services from the building to ensure the smooth, safe and effective delivery of those services. The role will work closely with Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, who will act as the lead tenant for the building. The role will also work closely with other public sector and third sector organisations to maximise health and wellbeing outcomes for the people of Halton. An integral part of this role will be to ensure the safe and efficient running of the Hub, along with continued customer satisfaction and full utilisation of services and space.

Straddling the neighbouring boroughs of Warrington and Halton we are part of the Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care system. Our hospitals are ideally situated to meet the growing healthcare needs of the 330,000 population of these boroughs.

Warrington Hospital is home to our emergency, critical care and maternity services, Halton Hospital is focused on elective procedures and the Runcorn Urgent Treatment Centre, although many services are offered at both sites and in community hubs.

A CQC‑rated "good" organisation with "outstanding" features, we are working towards university hospital status, having achieved teaching hospital status in 2019.

We employ nearly 5,000 people from over 80 nationalities, striving to be a diverse, inclusive employer and recognised leader in equality. We support flexible working, welcoming flexible applications. Proud of our many accreditations, we are embedding an anti‑racist approach in all we do.
