At Teva Runcorn, we develop, manufacture and market innovative and affordable medicines, specialising in sterile liquid products mainly used for treating respiratory conditions using Blow-Fill-Seal technology as well as injectable Combination Products.
A Day In The Life Of A Chemistry Analyst
As a Chemistry Analyst you will carry out Material and Product analysis in order to supply quality products to customers and meet department objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Test and analyse components/raw materials/bulk/CIP samples/water systems and finished product using the correct procedures in compliance with cGLP, cGMP, Health and safety, SOPs and environmental and regulatory requirements.
2. Deliver high customer service to all customers by testing components/raw materials/bulk and finished product in an efficient and timely manner.
3. Process, maintain and archive all QC documentation, right first time, i.e. correct and in full, in order to achieve customer service and GMP.
4. Establish performance/development goals. Maintain training records accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory and business standards.
5. Monitor and purchase laboratory consumables ensuring availability for timely testing of all samples.
6. Ensure performance of instrument maintenance and calibration checks.
7. Assist with the method transfer process ensuring timely completion in line with manufacturing plans.
8. Assist with qualification studies on existing and new methods.
Working Hours
Shift pattern 6am-6pm, working one weekend every other week. 7 shifts over a 2 week period.
9. Shift allowance of an additional 19% of your base salary earnings.
Who We Are Looking For
Do you have?
10. Ideally a degree in a relevant discipline and/or position specific experience
11. Working lab experience ideally before but should have experience through education
12. Pharmaceutical experience operating to regulatory standards is desirable
13. Understanding of cGMP/GLP/Regulatory/Health and safety- desirable
14. Good knowledge of Laboratory instrumentation (such as FT-IR, UV-Vis, HPLC, TOC and DSC)
