Job Summary We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team. We welcome applications from both graduates with a relevant Quantity Surveying degree and experienced Quantity Surveyors. This role can be based at either our Aldridge or Kenfig office. You will support the Construction Director and Divisional Managers in ensuring projects are delivered profitably, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual and legislative requirements. Responsibilities include: Commercial & Contractual Support Providing commercial support to divisional and contracts managers. Reviewing and communicating contract terms and conditions to operational teams. Preparing, submitting, and agreeing interim valuations, final accounts, variations, and contractual notices. Supporting the settlement of commercial disputes and extension-of-time submissions. Project & Cost Management Checking contract programmes for accuracy and feasibility. Monitoring overspend forms and site spend schedules. Reconciling site spend with internal cost reports and accounts data. Reviewing and approving sub-contractor applications and final accounts. Evaluating and improving the approved sub-contractor supply chain. Collaboration & Meetings Attending internal and external meetings to support project delivery. Staying updated with project progress and supporting contract staff where needed. Key Responsibilities Ensure monthly valuations are checked and submitted on time. Confirm payment certificates have been issued. Recover retention and assist in resolving commercial disputes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standard contracts and Building Regulations. Ensure construction work complies with current legislation and company quality procedures. Monitor overspends within delegated authority. Set targets and responsibilities for supervisory staff. Authorities Prepare and settle final accounts within two months of project completion. Quote prices from standard company schedules. Request prices from sub-contractors and suppliers. Complete tender documentation and place orders with sub-contractors. Accept written client instructions and raise IOF2s. Make commercial decisions as needed to support project and business objectives.
