Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Fostering- Assessment Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
* Undertake comprehensive fostering assessments (Form F) for prospective foster carers in line with national fostering regulations and standards
* Carry out initial home visits and screening checks, progressing applicants through the assessment process
* Gather detailed information through interviews, home assessments, and reference checks to evaluate suitability to foster
* Analyse and present findings in high-quality, evidence-based reports for fostering panel
* Prepare applicants for panel, providing guidance and ensuring they understand the fostering role, expectations, and standards
* Work closely with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure thorough, timely assessments within agreed timescales
* Identify strengths, risks, and support needs of applicants, ensuring the safety and welfare of children is prioritised
* Attend and present cases at fostering panel, responding to questions and providing professional recommendations
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in line with statutory requirements and organisational procedures
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service, supporting recruitment and retention of high-quality foster carers
Requirements of this role:
* Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
* Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
