What the Job Involves This role involves working within the property and accommodation structure, securing suitable residential accommodation for refugee and migrant families, and overcoming barriers to housing. You will collaborate with teams in the Communities directorate, partners, and District and Boroughs to support families in finding housing. You are required to travel throughout the County and communicate effectively in English with the public. Key responsibilities include undertaking affordability assessments, monitoring housing options, and providing solution-focused interventions for homeless prevention. You will need to form strong relationships with local estate agents, landlords, and the Home Office to secure properties within West Sussex. Supervisory responsibility for the Service Support Officer is also expected.
