About the Role
This role will lead the day-to-day management of Goods Inwards Inspection and Finished Product Inspections (post FAT). It also focuses on leading the NCR process for internal and supplier rejects and supports the quality engineer with data to drive corrective actions.
The role additionally supports the Quality Engineer in departmental activities including calibration, reworks, audits, stock checks, First Pass Yield, and supports the QC scientist on FAT processes.
Primary Responsibilities include:
1. Management of non-conforming components and assemblies.
2. Performing investigations and developing corrective and preventative actions.
3. Performing QC checks and inspections on production items throughout manufacturing.
4. Assisting with the design, creation, and administration of goods-inwards inspection procedures.
5. Supporting the creation and ongoing administration of the supplier management processes.
6. Creating and managing calibration management systems.
7. Supporting the Quality Department in relevant tasks such as internal audits, procedure preparation, or investigations.
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum GCSE Level or equivalent experience.
* Experience in mechanical, electronic, or optical fields is preferred.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
* Proficiency with basic metrology equipment.
* Quick learner with keen attention to detail.
* Organised and structured in approach.
* Compliance with standards, policies, and regulations.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Strong team-working skills and ability to build relationships.
