Are you passionate about advancing remote clinical care and education? We are seeking a dynamic Service Manager for Clinical Education (Remote Clinical Care) to lead and develop clinical education across the Remote Integrated Care Directorate.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Education and Clinical Practice (Remote Care) and work in close collaboration with the Service Manager for Education and Development (Remote Care) and the Clinical Leadership Team (Remote Care). You will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative ways of working, supporting both clinical and non-clinical teams, and ensuring that all activities align with Trust strategies.

The successful candidate will lead the development of forward-thinking clinical education strategies that broaden the scope, confidence, and competence of both clinical and non-clinical professionals delivering remote care. You will be a key driver of transformation, safeguarding clinical safety, and ensuring that educational delivery is closely aligned with national policy and Trust priorities.

You will be responsible for managing senior educators, overseeing complex workstreams, and maintaining advanced clinical assessment skills in order to contribute directly to patient care. This role requires strategic vision, strong leadership, and the ability to build effective collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.


Main duties of the job

Lead the planning, design, and delivery of remote clinical education programmes.

Maintain advanced clinical assessment skills and contribute to patient care through advanced practice.

Build and manage relationships with internal and external partners to support effective service delivery.

Lead the development and delivery of clinical education programs for Remote Clinical Care.

Maintain advanced clinical assessment skills and contribute to patient care.

Foster strong internal and external relationships to support effective service delivery.

Oversee planning, design, and implementation of education and clinical initiatives.

Lead on policy, service development, and quality improvement, driving transformation and continuous improvement projects.

Manage budgets and provide senior leadership across education, research, and clinical practice.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and Knowledge


Essential criteria

* Professional registration (NMC, HCPC)
* Level 7 Education (master's degree) relevant to healthcare services/ systems/ profession.
* Level 4 Management/Leadership qualification or possess equivalent skills and experience.
* Advanced theoretical knowledge and practical experience to conduct clinical consultation and as an autonomous clinician in remote clinical practice.
* Evidence of a current Advanced portfolio, which aligns with the requirements of the professional registration bodies e.g. NMC, HCPC and/ or national education bodies e.g. HEIW – Enhanced, Advanced, Consultant Framework
* Comprehensive knowledge of remote clinical practice (NHS 111, 999, Out of Hours Services, virtual wards).


Desirable criteria

* Project management qualification
* Principle Investigator qualification
* Member of their Associated Professional Body
* Relevant Teaching/Clinical Supervision Qualification


Experience


Essential criteria

* Extensive post-registration clinical experience
* Proven track record of working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
* Experience in leading services and teams through change
* Experience of developing, monitoring and evaluating education curricula.
* Experience of working within a health-related education setting.
* Evidence of performing across an Advanced Level of Practice in accordance with professional registration bodies/ National Education bodies.
* Experience of teaching within a wide multi-professional audience in a clinical/remote practice and/or University setting.


Desirable criteria

* Experience in clinical policy and guideline development and implementation at local and national level
* Post-registration clinical experience in remote clinical practice.
* Experience and knowledge of research processes and being involved in research practice.
* Experience in leading and implementing research within clinical practice

* Clinical and Education skills competence for environment/setting.
* Demonstrate leadership/ supervision experience.
* Positive and professional outlook to work.


Desirable criteria

* Welsh Language Skills are desirable at level 1 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh.
* Ability to travel throughout the organisation.

* Satisfactory Standard/Enhanced DBS clearance, including an/a Adults and Children Barred List check
