Our Team: Welcome to the Audi F1 Project. Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK, which will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for chassis development and race operations.

The position is based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany). In internal combustion engine development, you will work on the combustion process and calibration of a high-performance powertrain, aiming for maximum performance and efficiency while ensuring reliability. Your tasks include development measures during concept, design, commissioning, and testing phases.
Your Mission
* Development of combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations
* Thermodynamic development of engine gas-exchange, combustion phase, and flow simulation of intake & exhaust systems
* Plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper reports
* Correlate simulation results with measurement data from engine tests and testbenches
* Improve workflows and toolchains for simulation and test data correlation
Your Profile
* Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics (bachelor's, master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.)
* Several years of experience in internal combustion development and 3D CFD simulation
* Broad knowledge of engine technology and virtual development tool chains
* Experience handling testbench data
* Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility
* Independent and precise work practices
* Proficiency in German or English, with willingness to learn the other language
