FCRMS Asset Management Business Systems Team Senior Advisor - 32232

Our asset management business system includes carbon management to meet our corporate objective of becoming a Net Zero Carbon organisation. Carbon management is embedded in both the delivery of our infrastructure programme and in our management of assets. The carbon management process is supported by existing and developing carbon tools that enable construction projects and suppliers to meet mandatory carbon assessment requirements that enable the EA to produce a carbon footprint for all assets that need to be reduced over future years. The Asset Management Business Systems Team support all EA teams and suppliers in their use of carbon tools and ensure they become a ‘core’ asset management system operating with other AMBST supported tools for the infrastructure programme and asset management.
The work will involve but is not limited to:
 * Supporting EA and external users of operational carbon tools
 * Managing and delivering a range of services to users of carbon tools
 * Agreeing and maintaining services with a range of different user groups
 * Being a senior product user for digital improvement projects of our carbon tools and data
 * Planning and managing user activities in the implementation of carbon tool changes and improvements
 * Managing the resources and funding for carbon tools support and maintenance
 * Working with operational carbon communities and national leads as required
This role will involve working with IT suppliers and others within the EA, including colleagues in FCRM, Operations teams throughout England and in Defra’s Digital, Data and Technology Services (DDTS). Along with Local Authorities, Water Companies, Internal Drainage Boards, and the civil engineering supply chain.
Experience/skills Required
We are looking for someone with significant experience and knowledge in carbon management in infrastructure assets, projects or programmes. You will be able to demonstrate:
 * Experience in asset management and/or infrastructure business processes
 * Experience in digital tool development or user implementation services
 * Experience in development of training and documentation
 * Knowledge and skills in stakeholder engagement and effective communications
 * Ability to identify, analyse, evaluate, and implement improved ways of working
 * Ability to take decisions and solve complex business problems
 * A strong focus on efficiency, innovation, and quality
 * Strong focus on customers and partners and ability to build and sustain relationships
 * Ability to manage yourself and work on your own initiative

 * The role is predominantly office-based, but travel will be required occasionally. Any location for your office base is acceptable.
