Job Summary

We are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:


Key Responsibilities

* Maintain standards and security of sites' manufacturing computer and server systems supporting factory control via SCADA, PLC, and advanced control systems, ensuring business standards, availability, and data integrity.
* Drive initiatives to improve plant control systems and provide technical leadership for maintenance engineers.
* Manage support contracts and system upgrades to maintain control system value and relevance.
* Implement control system software changes through change management to meet plant and business needs.
* Oversee control system projects, coordinating across departments, suppliers, and contractors.
* Identify opportunities for control and production information improvements, with clear action plans.
* Support front-line teams during technical breakdowns with problem-solving skills.
* Develop training needs analysis and deliver coaching on fault analysis, root cause failure analysis, and rectification.
* Ensure reliable, secure control systems and manage obsolescence of hardware and software.


Key Skills

* Qualified and experienced in electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
* Knowledge of machinery and safety control systems.
* Experience with PLC control and network systems, preferably Siemens, including programming and fault finding.
* Experience with HMI applications, preferably Wonderware InTouch, including administration and programming.
* Basic knowledge of computer/server systems and security.
* Understanding of industrial Ethernet communication networks.
* Ability to deliver structured control systems training and mentor teams.
* Good presentation and communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize and work with urgency.


Preferred Qualifications

* Electrical qualification (e.g., City and Guilds).
* 5+ years experience in FMCG or similar environment.
* Strong understanding of reliability and root cause analysis.
* Knowledge of PLC, inverter, and safety systems.
