Artnet is the leading international platform to buy, sell, and research art online.
As an Auction Data Specialist on the Price Database team, you will be an integral part of maintaining and growing the most comprehensive archive of international auction results ever recorded. In this role, you will build key client relationships to drive the accuracy, timeliness, and growth of one of our core products. This role is full-time remote. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
* Update and maintain one collective auctions calendar using information from 80–100 auction houses.
* Run data scraping tools to acquire auction data and provide feedback for quality control.
* Edit fine art and decorative art auction catalog information for optimized integration into the database.
* Edit the artist database by adding or updating artist biographical details.
* Maintain relationships with auction houses to collect data, auction results, and timely updates.
* Communicate account matters and site changes with clients as needed.
* Collaborate with the Client Services team in meeting production deadlines for paying clients.
* Support clients in responding to questions about the Price Database and Market Alerts products.
* Collaborate with the Analytics team in verifying the comprehensiveness and accuracy of data referenced in Analytics Reports.
* Proactively identify client sales opportunities to promote the use of Artnet products.
* Improve products, services, and tools by contributing ideas and assisting with team projects.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or higher in art history, fine arts, or arts administration.
* Proficient knowledge of the PC platform and Microsoft Excel and experience using these tools.
* Proficient knowledge of Google Suite and experience using these tools.
* Demonstrated skills and use of multiple software applications.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Fluency in reading and writing in English and Italian. Additional preferred (not required) languages are French, German, Italian, Scandinavian and Slavic languages.
* Detail-oriented and organized.
* Ability to extract valuable information from large volumes of data.
* Experience in a fast-paced environment.
* Eagerness to take on new tasks and responsibilities.
* Must be based in the UK
Salary: £30,100
Working hours: Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm GMT
Location: All Scotland ,England, Wales, Northern Ireland, International
