As a Maternity Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting midwives and medical staff in providing high standards care to patients.
Responsibilities
* Assist midwives and medical staff in delivering care to patients.
* Contribute to the delivery of patients’ individual care under the direction and supervision of a registered midwife.
* Undertake routine and specially identified tasks delegated by the nurse in charge, following relevant procedures, guidelines and policies.
* Act as a role model for student midwives and colleagues.
* Drive and own a car to support women at home, provide breastfeeding support, and undertake new-born blood spot on babies.
* Conduct adhoc home visits for blood pressure checks.
