The Role
The Asset Based Lending (ABL) Field Examiner performs a wide variety of due diligence activities throughout the UK, Europe and APAC related primarily to asset-based facilities. Due diligence is generally performed at the prospects premises for facilities ranging in size from £1 million to over £1 billion. The candidate must be able to analyse and distil data with a high level of attention to detail, and have excellent written, numeric and communication skills.
The Requirment
* Collect and analyse client accounts receivable, inventory, and accounts payable data and historic performance.
* Perform in-depth testing and valuation of collateral securing the loans to existing and potential new borrowers, highlighting any material credit risks, variances, and any conclusions or recommendations.
* Evaluate accounting system controls, data integrity, and managerial control oversight. For existing facilities, confirm that necessary controls are in place for accurate reporting of collateral.
* Preparing (new lends) or verifying (existing facilities) borrowing base calculations.
* Engaging with multiple stakeholders and prospect management from ground level through to executive management.
* Completion of findings in workpapers and written reports, to be used by the client to make informed credit decisions.
