Job Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible)

*ABOUT EMBANKMENT BISTRO*

Embankment Bistro is a welcoming, vibrant dining space set along Dartmouth’s beautiful waterfront. Known for its relaxed atmosphere, great food and warm hospitality, the bistro is a place where locals and visitors come together to enjoy good company and memorable meals.

We’re looking for a confident and enthusiastic Front of House Assistant to join the team and help deliver the high standards of service that define Embankment Bistro.

*ROLE OVERVIEW*

As a Chef de Partie at Embankment Bistro, you’ll take ownership of a key section of the kitchen and help deliver dishes that are fresh, well-presented and full of flavour. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to maintain high standards while contributing to a positive and organised kitchen environment.

This is a hands-on role for a chef who enjoys working with quality ingredients, takes pride in their craft and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

You’ll be an important part of the kitchen team, helping ensure service runs smoothly while maintaining the quality and consistency that our guests expect.

*YOUR DAY TO DAY*

* Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard within your section
* Supporting the Head Chef in maintaining quality, consistency and presentation across the menu
* Ensuring your section is organised, stocked and prepared for smooth service
* Working efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail
* Supporting junior team members and contributing to a positive kitchen culture
* Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness at all times
* Assisting with stock rotation, storage and ingredient management
* Helping ensure the kitchen operates smoothly, professionally and efficiently
* Taking pride in every dish that leaves the kitchen

*ABOUT YOU*

To thrive in this role, you’ll likely have:

* Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to step up
* A genuine passion for cooking and delivering high-quality dishes
* The ability to stay organised and focused during busy servces
* A positive, team-first mindset and strong communication within the kitchen
* Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety and best practice
* Pride in maintaining high culinary and presentation standards
* A proactive attitude and desire to continue learning and developing your skills
