Employee Assistance Programme Salary Sacrifice schemes e.g. Cycle to Work etc. Free town centre parking What to Expect in the Role: You will be responsible for ensuring the Council meets its legal obligations to effectively administer and monitor Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and Section 106 obligations, including collecting and disbursing financial contributions arising from planning permissions within the District. The role is central to the timely delivery of infrastructure by developers and/or the Council and its partners. Working both independently and collaboratively, you will deliver a high-quality service by maintaining accurate records and updating the Council’s monitoring systems. Your focus will be on timely collection of CIL and Section 106 contributions, streamlining processes, and recovering outstanding payments. You will also ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and internal performance targets, working to clear and agreed timescales. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities (Please see Job Description and Person Specification for more details): Handle all internal and external enquiries and processes related to CIL and Section 106 agreements. Maintain and update records of financial contributions from CIL and Section 106, implementing improvements where needed. Prepare and issue payment requests for financial obligations, monitor compliance with non-financial obligations, and manage all CIL-related documentation and payments. Work closely with the Capital Accountant to manage the collection, allocation, and release of CIL and Section 106 funds. Effective problem-solving abilities, including identifying issues quickly and implementing practical solutions. Excellent organisational and time management skills, capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and confident in using computers with a proactive approach to learning new systems. Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships and handle confidential matters sensitively.
