Our expanding Lymphoedema Service is seeking motivated clinicians to join a dedicated team consisting of a Senior Lymphoedema Specialist Nurse, a Lymphoedema Specialist Nurse and a Lymphoedema Clinical Support Worker.The team provides hands‑on, evidence‑based assessment, treatment and management for patients with complex, cancer‑related, and palliative lymphoedema.You will deliver personalised care, support multidisciplinary working, and help improve quality of life for patients with advanced needs.Alongside direct clinical care, you will contribute to service development by offering specialist advice and delivering education to local healthcare support workers, enabling safe and consistent care for patients with mild to moderate lymphoedema.This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day while helping shape a respected and growing specialist service.Main Responsibilities:Deliver highly specialist, evidence‑based assessment, treatment, and ongoing management for primary and non‑palliative secondary lymphoedema.Work autonomously, using advanced clinical skills to develop, implement, and review personalised care plans.Manage your own caseload, including admission, discharge, holistic assessment, and evaluation of treatment outcomes.Provide key lymphoedema therapies such as Manual Lymphatic Drainage, multi‑layer bandaging, compression care, and intensive treatment programmes.Identify and manage secondary complications, including cellulitis.Offer expert advice and education to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals, acting as a clinical role model.Collaborate effectively within the multidisciplinary team and attend relevant meetings.Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge, follow local formularies, participate in supervision, and work within legal frameworks (e.g., Mental Capacity Act).Use advanced communication skills to explain complex or sensitive information and overcome barriers to understanding.Promote patient independence through self‑care education, equipment provision, and complication prevention.Training & EducationTeach patients, carers and healthcare professionals the principles and practice of effective lymphoedema management.Act as a recognised expert within the organisation, providing specialist clinical knowledge and sharing information clearly with multidisciplinary teams through both verbal and written communication.Financial ResponsibilitiesUse resources efficiently and responsibly, supporting managers in ensuring value for money and adherence to organisational policies.Identify any deviations from budgets and work with the budget holder to address issues proactively.Ensure all resource use is justified, realistic and aligned with organisational objectives.Essential RequirementsRegistered First Level Nurse (NMC Part 1).Current certification in Complex Decongestive Therapy (Földi, Vodder, Casley-Smith, Leduc, or equivalent).Demonstrable experience in lymphoedema management.Strong IT skills and confidence using clinical systems.Experience delivering teaching or training to patients or colleagues.Willingness to undertake further specialist training in therapeutic treatments for lymphoedema management.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Desirable RequirementsPrevious experience working in a community healthcare setting.Non-Medical Prescribing qualification (V300) or a commitment to undertaking this training.Package DescriptionAs aSenior Lymphoedema Specialist Nurse -
