Job Description:
Inside Sales Account Manager responsible for driving support contract renewals for Alletra Storage by seamlessly upgrading customers to the cloud-native power of HPE Alletra Storage.
The Inside Sales Account Manager, manages virtually (by phone, electronically) a set of assigned or acquired accounts. Maintains and manages quarterly pipeline. Works closely with company outside sales, channel partners and/or end customers to move contract renewal opportunities to closure. Sets and executes renewal strategy for assigned portion of account, or territory.
Responsibilities:
* Renews support end user support contracts, and support services for set of assigned regional accounts, may partner with field sales or sell independently
* Consistently reviews quarterly pipeline reports to drive renewal opportunities to closure; may work with partners/ outside sales to ensure a smooth customer transaction
* Understands client requirements and drives upsell opportunities for service/support offerings
* Builds targeted sales pipeline and forecasts data driven contract renewal to be within valid contract term.
Management Level Definition:
* Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues that may arise within the scope of support contract renewals.
* Works on problems of moderately complex scope.
* Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input.
* Able to assist management with team training, or if requested, step into a role as senior liaison with channel partners.
* Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action.
* Follows established guidelines and interprets policies.
* Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.
Education and Experience Required:
* Degree or equivalent in any field (preferably IT/ Sales )
* 3-5 years of IT Sales experience or equivalent
Knowledge and Skills:
* Proficient account management, acquisition, retention and development skills
* Proficient understanding of company's portfolios of products and services
* Proficient knowledge of IT and/or industry solutions, products and services to solve business challenges
* Proficient communication and negotiation skills
* Proficient knowledge of a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM), preferably the Salesforce CRM product, which allows businesses to manage relationships, and the information associated with them.
* Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Able to collaborate within a team and may lead a sub-team
