The client have two main head offices (based in London and New York) and they are keen on ensuring that the successful candidate can manage the end to end Accounts Payable function, manage a team and help to improve/implement a number of new processes and systems. The company is a global business that are looking for a candidate that experience managing international teams.
Job Description
The successful Global Accounts Payable Manager will:
* Manage end-to-end AP processes across global locations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
* Establish standardized AP policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency.
* Negotiate terms, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.
* Supervise invoice processing and payment execution to maintain timely and accurate financial transactions.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls, such as SOX requirements.
* Lead and mentor AP staff, providing guidance and training to enhance performance and skills.
* Lead the implementation of AP systems and enhancements, ensuring successful integration and user adoption.
* Identify and implement process improvements and automation to streamline AP operations.
* Identify and mitigate risks related to AP processes, such as fraud prevention and error reduction.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and IT, to support business objectives and address AP-related issues.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Global Accounts Payable Manager will:
* Over 5 years of experience managing an Accounts Payable team
* Prior experience managing an international AP team and function
* Strong analytical skills
* MUST have a prior working knowledge of the system SAP Concur
* Prior experience working in a finance team within a retail company (desirable, not essential)
* Strong Excel skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
