The Asset Management Department is responsible for a growing fleet of renewable energy assets.RES are expanding their Advisory Services offering by developing a team within our Asset Management Department to provide consultancy services to meet our clients’ requirements. We are looking for an experienced renewables consultant to join this new team. The position of ‘Battery Storage Consultant’ will be responsible for delivering client facing Advisory Services activities across our AM portfolio. There will be initial support available from existing staff within the Asset Management Team.This role will report to the Advisory Services Manager in the UK&I and will also work closely with the Asset Managers, Business Development Managers, Operations Support Team, AM Finance Team and other departments within RES.Although the role will be focused on UK&I we are delivering services across Europe and would welcome applications from candidates who can be based in our other European offices.Key AccountabilitiesAs Battery Storage Consultant you will:Understand and interpret client’s needs, clearly communicating client’s goals to internal and external stakeholdersBe responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Advisory Services and one-off projects on behalf of clients including due diligence, owners engineering and general technical missionSupport our growth and cost reduction targetsUndertake technical, project management, commercial and customer-facing activitiesSupport regular communication with target clients and provide feedback to the business units to refine the product offeringReporting
1. Prepare & deliver presentations and reports for Asset Management team and/or clients
Internal Engagement
2. Ensuring that appropriate contracts are agreed with clients and time and cost is accounted for appropriately within the business
3. Ensure the quality of work meets clients’ expectations
4. Work with all internal stakeholders, and any sub-contractors
5. Ensure project deliverables stay on time, on target, and on budget
6. Supporting the development of proposals to secure new work
7. Responsibility for the financial performance of any projects managed
8. Mentor and support less experienced team members
9. Identify and communicate relevant technological developments or regulatory changes which may impact the business or provide new opportunities
External Engagement
10. Work with clients to identify their requirements and key points of contact
11. Attending client meetings and undertaking site visits within the UK and globally
Knowledge
12. Understanding of technical aspects of renewable energy infrastructure projects
13. Knowledge of battery energy storage systems
14. Established network of contacts within the renewables industry
15. Understanding of commercial aspects of renewable energy infrastructure projects (including project finance)

Experience
27. Previous demonstrable experience in performing owners engineering, due diligence, technical advisory and/or consultancy activities in the BESS energy field
28. Similar consultancy or in-field experience with battery storage systems
29. Experience in the renewables industry in a technical consulting capacity
30. Managing budgets and project costs
31. Client facing experience in a consultancy role
32. Contract specification review and preparation
33. Competent user of Microsoft Office365 products
Qualifications
34. Degree or equivalent experience in an Engineering or relevant Business / Commercial discipline
35. Valid driving licence for use within UK
