Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
* Supporting across both purchase ledger (70%) and sales ledger (30%) tasks
* Processing around 200 invoices per month, from small amounts to high-value transactions
* Matching POs to invoices and resolving supplier queries
* Raising invoices and credit notes, sending and chasing payments by phone, email and letter
* Checking and processing staff expenses and mileage claims
* Reconciling multiple bank accounts and currencies
* Supporting with accruals, prepayments and some month-end journals (training provided)
What you will need:
* Previous experience in a similar role, such as Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk / Accounts Administrator / Finance Administrator / Accounts Payable Assistant
* To be confident and proactive in dealing with queries and chasing payments
* To be comfortable working in a small, hands-on team
* Excel skills
