Job Opportunity: Planning, Shipping & Purchasing Manager

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
We are currently recruiting for a Planning, Shipping & Purchasing Manager to join a world-leading manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee and lead the Planning, Shipping, and Purchasing functions. You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, managing customer orders, and collaborating with internal teams to meet business objectives.
As the Planning, Shipping & Purchasing Manager, you'll be responsible for driving efficiency across the logistics and purchasing processes while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Planning, Shipping, Purchasing, and Administrative teams to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.
Oversee the post-sales order processing, including import/export logistics and ensuring all shipping documentation is accurate and up to date.
Work closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Production, and Logistics) to ensure orders are produced and delivered on time.
Follow up with customers on order status, manage delivery schedules, and ensure that all orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
Monitor customer credit balances and facilitate payment collection during order deliveries.
Support the purchasing process for goods and services, ensuring efficient procurement and cost control.
Assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks and other customer service and logistics duties as required.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
Degree in Business Administration or equivalent qualification preferred.
5+ years' experience in Planning, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Logistics, and Administration, preferably within a manufacturing or consumer goods environment.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365/CRM & PV.
Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and a strong ability to work as part of a team.
Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to multitask effectively.
Additional Information:
This role is based in Northamptonshire, with a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.
