Location: Porthcawl, CF36 5SR
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 35 per week | Rolling rota including weekends & bank holidays

About Danygraig
Danygraig Care Home is a 48-bed residential home set within a beautiful Grade II listed building overlooking the Bristol Channel. We provide specialist care for adults living with dementia and mental health conditions, offering a warm, supportive, and person-centred environment where residents truly feel at home.
Your Role
As a Day Care Assistant, you’ll provide hands-on support to help residents live with dignity, comfort, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting residents with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
* Supporting mobility, transfers, and daily routines
* Providing companionship and meaningful engagement
* Assisting with meals, drinks, and nutritional needs
* Monitoring wellbeing and promptly reporting any concerns
* Maintaining cleanliness and infection control standards
Shift Patterns
* 07:00 – 14:00
* 14:00 – 21:00
* Long day: 07:00 – 21:00
* (Weekend and bank holiday working included on a rolling rota.)
What We’re Looking For
* Naturally kind, caring, and adaptable
* A good communicator and reliable team player
* Calm under pressure and organised in your work
* Full UK driving licence preferred (for flexibility across shifts)
* NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care desirable or willingness to complete
* Previous care experience helpful, but not essential – full training provided
