This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support to succeed in the classroom.
The Role: As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with behavioural needs. You will help create a positive learning environment, promote appropriate behaviour, and provide tailored support both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural needs
* Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans
* Help pupils develop social and emotional skills
* Support teachers in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience working with SEMH children, ideally in a school or support setting
* Be patient, calm, and resilient under pressure
* Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Be passionate about supporting children’s development and wellbeing
* Be able to work effectively as part of a team
