Job Title: Production Supervisor
Salary: £30, - £35, per annum
Benefits: Pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, On-site parking
Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Supervisor to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production activities and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and improve the overall standards of the production department, ensuring compliance with established quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
2. Lead the production team in meeting performance targets and maintaining a strong work ethic and positive culture.
3. Collaborate with the planning team to organise and agree on production schedules, ensuring orders are delivered on time.
4. Generate relevant production reports, statistics, and KPIs, and present them to senior management and the planning team.
5. Identify opportunities for process improvement, recommend and implement changes using LEAN manufacturing methods.
6. Allocate resources across workflows to minimise wastage and strengthen profit margins.
7. Enforce all health and safety regulations, provide training to staff when necessary, and maintain training records for all reports.
Skills and Qualifications:
8. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Previous experience in a production role is essential.
11. Hands-on approach and a can-do attitude.
12. Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
13. Ability to meet deadlines.
Your Background:
14. A qualification in Health & Safety, Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline is desirable.
15. Proven experience in a management role within the manufacturing industry is required.
16. Competency in relevant IT systems, such as Microsoft Office, is necessary.
