Overview
Join us at Stockport Family and be the difference that helps transform lives. We are on a journey of continuous improvement to good and beyond to outstanding, creating a dynamic and supportive environment where children, young people, and families thrive. We are building a new Permanence service for children in care, alongside Locality social work teams who support families from first assessment through to the end of care proceedings. We are looking for passionate social workers and team leaders to join both roles. Please indicate in your supporting statement which role you would liken to be considered for, or if you are interested in both positions. We offer expert guidance, innovative resources, and a nurturing team. Our model of restorative and systemic practice ensures you are supported, learning, and growing at every step.
Stockport Council holds a Visa sponsorship licence, but this campaign does not currently qualify for sponsorship. We are committed to improving employment opportunities for people with disabilities, care leavers, and ex-military personnel. As part of the Guaranteed Assessment Scheme you will be guaranteed to be shortlisted for Assessment if you meet both the criteria for the scheme and the essential job role criteria. Find out if you meet the criteria here: the council’s guidance on the Guaranteed Assessment Scheme.
