Financial Accountant
📍 Warwickshire | Full Time | Office Based
An established and growing automotive business is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to take ownership of the finance function within a standalone environment.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a hands-on role responsible for month-end processes, financial reporting, and maintaining strong financial controls across the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ownership of month-end and management accounts
2. Preparation of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
3. General ledger reconciliations and journal postings
4. Oversight of AP and AR processes
5. VAT returns and HMRC compliance
6. Liaising with outsourced payroll and external accountants
7. Supporting year-end audit and statutory accounts
Skills & Experience
8. Previous experience within an SME or standalone finance role
9. Strong Excel and accounting systems knowledge
10. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/Navision advantageous
11. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
12. AAT qualified or studying towards an accounting qualification desirable
