Main duties of the job
We are seeking multiple highly motivated and proactive individuals to fulfil various admin roles within our busy admin office. We have vacancies in both the Gynaecology and Urogynaecology admin teams and also the Symptomatic Breast Admin team who all work closely together at Princess Anne Hospital.
All these roles will mean that you will provide excellent customer service to patients, relatives and carers. You will build good working relationships with the Consultants, the rest of the Admin Team and Nursing staff.
You will need excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with the patients by phone, email and face to face.

* Have experience of working in a customer services environment.
* Have a friendly and approachable manner.
* Be polite, sympathetic and diplomatic and have a can‑do attitude.
* Provide excellent customer service to patients, relatives/carers and to external agencies, including communication that is face to face, over the telephone and through written correspondence.
* Provide comprehensive administration services with high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate over the telephone and in person.
* Competent IT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
* The ability to work independently but also be a good team player.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
* Good standard of education with literacy and numeracy skills to GCSE pass level 4‑9 or equivalent standard.
* NVQ 2 diploma or equivalent experience.
* Experience of working in a customer‑led environment.
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
* Evidence of computer literacy.
Desirable criteria
* Courses/further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development.
* Proficient in the use of hospital computerised patient systems.
* Call handling experience.
* Experience of working shifts.
