Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 per year Requirements:
* We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
* Excellent knowledge in Windows 11 installation and configuration
* Excellent knowledge with MacOS installation and configuration
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 administrative suite including Intune, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and Entra ID
* Exposure to Email filter technologies such as Mimecast, Barracuda, and Sophos Email Gateway
* Experience with Microsoft Server OS and server roles (2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025)
* Familiarity with networking related items, including firewalls, switches, and wireless systems
* At least 2 years of experience working with medium to large businesses
* Excellent knowledge of user and group management (on-premises and Entra)
* Proficiency in scripting and RPA automations
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution abilities
* A positive attitude and dedication to continuous improvement
* Ability to work independently under pressure
* A minimum of 3 years of IT experience in a corporate or services environment
* A valid driving license and own transport
* Ability to obtain a DBS certificate
Responsibilities:
* As a 2nd Line Engineer, I will expect you to:
* Serve as the first point of contact for all incoming support calls, emails, and sessions when necessary
* Act as an escalation point for issues arising from apprentices and Tier 1 engineers
* Ensure all support calls are logged in our system, keeping clients updated
* Manage incident and request tickets, ensuring established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met
* Provide support to our clients and assist the Tier 2 Manager with ongoing business improvements
* Support apprentices and Tier 1 engineers by managing and maintaining all escalations
* Communicate daily with clients regarding open tickets and manage their expectations
* Correctly log all client-related problems and inform the Tier 2 Manager of any tickets needing escalation
* Collaborate with clients' third-party suppliers and vendors when necessary
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures
* Meet all role-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Log, manage, and resolve client IT issues, along with maintaining and improving cloud infrastructure
* Compose Requests for Change and manage all client on and offboarding tasks to completion
* Keep all client documentation relevant and up-to-date
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
