Adults' and Children's Financial Services (ACFS) is a pivotal part of the Adult and Children Social Care Pathways. ACFS is responsible for facilitating and overseeing payments to providers of Adult and Children’s Social Care and for collecting client contributions in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and local policy.
Adult Social Care covers individuals receiving care in their own homes (non-Residential) or residing in care homes (Residential). We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join our existing service as Assistant Finance Officers. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, fast-paced team responsible for delivering payment and billing functions across social care.
We have a full-time position (37 hours per week) available for an Assistant Finance Officer on the Financial Assessment Team, on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2026. This role offers hybrid working, requiring attendance at our Stafford office once a week plus occasional meetings, with the remainder of work from home.
Main Responsibilities
The role primarily involves administrative tasks related to the accurate and timely processing of Adult Social Care charges. This includes billing care recipients, processing payments to care providers, managing system records, and liaising with financial representatives. You will also provide operational support to Finance Officers and colleagues, collaborating with internal stakeholders to improve processes and deliver excellent customer service.
