Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming Primary School in Thornton who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across Key Stage 1.
About the Role:
* Support pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions and ensure every child can access learning.
* Provide 1:1 and small group support, adapting strategies to meet individual needs.
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being in a nurturing environment.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEN (school-based or similar setting).
* A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
* Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, SEN training) are desirable but not essential.
