Salary up to £73,000 per annum with extensive overtime opportunities. Excellent benefits package including our double match pension scheme (we'll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%).
Permanent – 37 hours per week with overtime available. Flexible hybrid options.

What the Electrical Construction Manager does
* Manage CMT resource and outputs during Development, Procurement, Delivery and Closure for all major projects.
* Lead the Development, Procurement (Prequalification / Tendering) and Construction delivery of project scopes from concept to closure in line with CAPEX, for multiple projects.
* Direct the management and delivery as the assigned Principal Contractor, ensuring regulatory compliance with Health and Safety Law, CDM Regulations 2015 and Environmental Legislation.
* Drive, manage and evaluate the commercial management and administration of each package of work to control CAPEX risk in line with Contractual Terms and Conditions with external stakeholders.
* Direct, deliver, manage and monitor regulatory outputs in line with programmed milestones.
* Manage, collaborate and monitor all supply, civil, electrical, cable & OHL packages to ensure Health & Safety and O&M data are recorded, validated, and stored for future use.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Control, manage and monitor development and delivery of disaggregated supply and packaged contracts with average CAPEX between £10–£30 million.
* Lead pre-qualification stages for all supply chain contracts.
* Lead high-volume tendered deliverable contracts from initiation to Contract Award, ensuring technical compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Direct and manage the Project Delivery strategy, reporting on stakeholder performance in a matrix-managed environment.
* Collaborate with Design Teams, Commissioning Manager, Project Managers and Site Managers to plan and monitor works.
* Engage and coordinate the project delivery team including Project Manager, Commissioning Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Engineering and HSQE managers, Community liaison, Developers and Landowners.
What You’ll Bring
* Proven knowledge and experience in planning and managing electrical works within a Transmission substation environment.
* Ability to interpret electrical schematic and wiring design drawings related to primary plant installation and protection & control systems.
* Basic knowledge of civil, OHL and cable packages.
* Strong leadership and planning skills.
* Contract management experience, including variations and claims.
* Awareness of NEC / FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
* Experience leading multiple project outputs with external stakeholders.
* Understanding of Line Management responsibilities and HR processes.
Minimum Requirements
* Preferred Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management in the Power Sector.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Current five-day SMSTS qualification.
Overtime Payments
* Monday - Saturday (8am–midnight): Time and a Half
* Monday - Saturday (midnight–8am): Double Time
* Sunday: Double Time (all hours)
* Overtime is not mandatory
