You will be responsible for several categories of spend and work with internal clients to deliver best value, while maintaining compliance with procurement regulations and the Council’s Constitution. Balancing a challenging financial landscape and the need to deliver the best outcomes for our citizens, while embedding the forthcoming Procurement Act, present a demanding but rewarding opportunity for our Service, in which Procurement & Supply Chain Managers will play a key role.
With strong technical skills and a background in procurement, you will be skilled at working with a wide range of stakeholders to develop and deliver procurement and contract management strategies. Commercial acumen and the ability to negotiate, while seeing the bigger picture, are key qualities for success.

Full-time employees work 37 hours per week, and we offer a generous holiday entitlement, rising to 31 days per year after 5 years’ service.
