We are looking for an Electrician to join our Building Services team on-site in Nottingham, Mansfield at Kings Mill Hospital.
You’ll:
1. Handle the maintenance and repair of the complete range of mechanical and electrical engineering services associated with the Healthcare estate, including electrical power, nurse call systems, communication systems, alarms, fire alarm systems, UPS units, electrical distribution, motors, control equipment, portable and fixed equipment, catering equipment, control panels, sockets, lighting, HVAC, pumps, motors, AHUs, and building management systems.
2. Undertake work related to PPM (Pre Planned Maintenance) and Reactive Maintenance tasks to a high standard.
3. Perform inspection and testing of fixed and mobile/portable equipment, ensuring compliance with BS7671 wiring regulations. Request remedial works or emergency isolations as needed and issue completion certificates.
4. Ensure all work complies with current electrical standards such as IEE Regulations and associated codes of practice. Work in accordance with HTM 2020 and the Electrical Safety Code for Low Voltage Systems as an appointed Competent Person (LV) for the Trust.
5. Hold a full UK driving licence.
6. Possess NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
7. Have 18th Edition or IEE Wiring Regulations certification.
8. Complete a structured training programme in Electrical Engineering.
