Job Title: Cardiac Physiologist / EchocardiographerLocation: Kingston-upon-ThamesSector: Private HealthcareEmployment Type: Part-time (22.5 hours per week) / PermanentOverview:We are supporting our client, a prestigious private hospital in Kingston-upon-Thames, in their search for an experienced and dynamic Cardiac Physiologist / Echocardiographer. This role is vital in the ongoing development and delivery of a high-quality Cardiac Investigations Service, with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence, service expansion, and cross-organisational collaboration.Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality diagnostic cardiac investigations, including ECGs, Echocardiography, Holter Monitoring (ECG and BP), and Exercise Treadmill Testing.
* Perform Pacing Checks and Implantable Loop Recorder analysis (desirable).
* Support the Imaging Manager in the development and implementation of cardiac policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and clinical audit programmes.
* Actively contribute to departmental quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Form and maintain strong relationships with local GP practices, providing education on the cardiac service offering and referral pathways.
* Play a key role in the growth and strategic development of the Cardiac Investigations Service.
* Provide mentorship to junior staff and contribute to leadership activities where required.
Candidate Requirements:Essential:
* Recognised qualification in Cardiac Physiology.
* Accreditation with the British Society of Echocardiography (or equivalent professional body).
* Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in a similar role.
* Proficient in key diagnostic techniques including ECG, Echocardiography, and Holter Monitoring.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of the organisation.
* Competent in developing clinical documentation such as policies and SOPs.
Desirable:
* Experience in performing Pacing Checks, Exercise Treadmill Testing, and Implantable Loop Recorder assessments.
* Previous experience in a leadership or management role.
* Membership in additional professional bodies (e.g., BHRS) or possession of post-graduate certification.
