An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Multi-Skilled Maintenance Shift Engineer to join a state-of-the-art Anaerobic Digestion and Cat 3 transfer station. This is a full-time, permanent position working 12-hour shifts on a 4 on, 4 off basis (days and nights, including weekends).
Responsibilities
* Risk assess all jobs before work begins.
* Undertake planned preventative maintenance and lubrication of plant assets such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, and valves.
* Complete reactive tasks, obtain readings from on-site meters, and fill out relevant check sheets.
* Assist with contractor and third-party asset services and maintain good housekeeping.
* Complete logs and job sheets as required.
* Participate in projects, continuous improvement, and modern manufacturing principles.
* Adhere to all Site Health and Safety Regulations and attend relevant training.
* Install and maintain equipment to minimize production interruptions.
* Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as required.
Requirements
* Hold a recognised apprenticeship.
* Possess a minimum CGLI or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* Have engineering experience, preferably in the AD industry.
* Experience with isolations and LOTO systems (Mechanical and Electrical).
* Dual skilled in mechanical and electrical work is desirable but not essential.
* Experience with centrifugal, lobe, diaphragm, and screw pumps.
* Ability to replace shaft seals, bearings, pipework, fittings, and couplings.
* Confidence in valve replacements and basic pneumatics.
* Comfortable working at heights.
