We are recruiting to a new position in Driffield - we are seeking a SUPERVISOR who is friendly, motivated, and eager to develop with us.
Key Objectives
To be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production team, putting operatives to work and keeping them working safely and efficiently, ensuring that daily and weekly production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety regulations are followed. The Supervisor will lead by example at all times.
What you’ll be doing:
* Lead and manage the production team to meet production targets and quality standards.
* Assist with the planning and coordinate production activities including scheduling, resource allocation and workflow optimisation.
* Ensure that the programme module completion log is populated daily, and delays are communicated efficiently.
* Liaise with the Assistant Production Manager to ensure operatives are actively employed in appropriate tasks to ensure the factory works at optimum capacity.
* Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to improve efficiency and productivity.
* Identifying and reporting on production delays working with the Assistant production Manager to find solutions and preventions.
* Ensure all staff members are adequately trained and following safety protocols.
* Address any production issues in a timely manner and escalate issues where necessary.
* Assist in providing clear direction to the team and motivate to constantly drive efficiencies.
* Ensure design and production changes are communicated effectively.
* Timely and accurate completion of all necessary paperwork
* Monitor and report on KPI’s.
* Hold productive Safe start meetings, reporting on daily production status and staff absences.
* Ensure all staff are kept up to date with relevant S.O.Ps
* Monitor and report on time keeping, sickness levels and breaks.
* Monitor and report on material shortages.
