About The Role/team
We’re excited to offer a newly created opportunity for an Estates Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Based between our High Wycombe and Chesham offices, this mobile role covers our wider operating area and is central to the success of our Estates Services team.
You’ll monitor, assess, and report on estate and building compliance, working closely with colleagues, contractors, and managing agents to resolve issues. You’ll carry out cyclical inspections of communal areas and amenity land, investigate customer-raised concerns, and help identify estates in need of improvement. You’ll also support neighbourhood teams in tackling issues such as anti-social behaviour.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct cyclical inspections of communal areas, amenity land, and car parks
* Monitor contracts and follow up on customer and colleague-raised issues
* Test safety equipment in communal areas and inspect fire doors
* Carry out water testing in line with Legionella risk assessments
* Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
* Identify estates in need of improvement and collaborate with neighbourhood teams
* Liaise with internal departments, contractors, and managing agents
* Maintain accurate records and report findings clearly
* Support compliance with building safety regulations and internal standards
Must Haves
What We’re Looking For
* Knowledge of building compliance and fire safety (or willingness to develop it)
* Understanding of relevant legislation for estate services
* Minor building repair skills (DIY level)
* Basic physical fitness for a mobile role
* Attention to detail and strong communication skills
* Collaborative working style across teams and stakeholders
* Valid manual driving licence (if successful in this role, you'll be provided a van and fuel card for business usage).

* Experience in estate services or property compliance
* Familiarity with anti-social behaviour reporting and resolution
