We are expanding our services and seek a Specialist Nurse in Haematology/Oncology. You will work within a dynamic team, managing inpatient and outpatient care, and supporting children and young people and their families throughout their treatment journey.

Main duties of the job
* Provide information, clinical advice, and support to children and families with haematological and oncological diagnoses.
* Participate in the clinical preparation and support of children from diagnosis through treatment, discharge, and follow-up.
* Act as a resource during treatment and facilitate continuity of care between inpatient and outpatient services.
* Liaise with outpatients, funding bodies, and referral teams.
* Participate in clinical shifts on wards, including two long days in a four-week rota.

Person specification
* NMC registered Nurse (relevant branch)
* Evidence of ongoing professional development and clinical competencies
* Assessing and mentoring qualification
* APLS/EPLS certification
* Leadership or management training
Experience/Knowledge
* Extensive nursing experience in the specialty
* Strong clinical knowledge relevant to the specialty
* Knowledge of current treatment regimes for cancer
* Understanding of resource management, safety, risk, and quality issues
* Experience handling incidents and complaints
* Familiarity with audit and research methodologies
