We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting. Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
* Develop and maintain individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other team members to ensure continuity of care.
* Medication Administration
* Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or behaviour to the nursing staff promptly.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist with administrative tasks as needed, including IT-related duties.
* Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred.
* Strong command of English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting residents when necessary.
* Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans is desirable.
* Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation effectively.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support elderly individuals in their daily lives.
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in health and social care would be beneficial but not essential.
* MUST be experienced and competent in Medication Administration
