In this role you will lead a team that focuses on supporting the curriculum team to deliver high‑quality Adult Education classes across Coventry. You will coordinate administrative tasks across the wider service, including supporting classes at various venues and offering initial advice and guidance to learners looking to enrol. All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK and this post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; appointment will be conditional on a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. We are not offering sponsorship for this role.
The Adult Education Service, part of Coventry City Council, offers a wide range of courses for residents aged 19+ with a focus on those with the highest levels of need. Courses include long and short community programmes in English, maths, ESOL, ICT/Digital, vocational subjects such as Early Years, and support for adults with learning disabilities. We also run a highly supportive study programme for young people and provide an apprenticeship programme in Nursery Workers, Teaching Assistants, Leadership/Management, and Customer Care. Courses for adults seeking work are available through the Council’s Job Shop.
