Overview of Group Procurement The Group purchasing function is a very distinct activity within the Delta Group, as it supports the procurement activities from a strategic and commercial perspective in delivering a diverse material supply solution to the business. The department helps organise an annual spend of circa £35-40M and has responsibility across all sites. The general procurement function and on-site buying teams support the business with technical and commercial solutions for materials required for print and production. The successful candidate will help drive and deliver continuous improvement and sustainable cost reduction across a number of products whilst meeting the demands and tight deadlines of the procurement process. The role The material sourcing activities of the Delta Group are currently in a prolonged period of growth, and now require a commercially minded, ambitious, and entrepreneurial person to bolster the team; assisting with commercial sourcing activities, constructing control frameworks that drive accurate data collation, analysis, and presentation. The Purchasing Administrator will report to the Group Purchasing Manager and will work with the wider team to provide analytical solutions and procurement services for both existing stakeholder project activity and new business opportunities. The role will touch the full scope of the business, regardless of geography, and will help deliver successful end-to-end solution and project delivery of stakeholder and procurement activity. Key Accountabilities Monthly management of pricing/savings models, savings forecasting Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders for general purchasing items Understand in detail the range of technologies employed within Delta Group Undertake data collection from Optimus, Workstream, Finance and suppliers then analyse and report findings Assist in the completion of any day to day purchasing Liaise with different Delta Group departments across the group to support the delivery of solutions and projects, including collation of different costing information, technical documentation, and projected delivery timescales Provide reports to support the measurement and success of our group procurement activity Develop excellent working relationships with suppliers to the Delta Group.
