Role Overview
We are looking for a Graduate Geo‑Environmental / Geo‑Technical Consultant for our Infrastructure team to be based in Exeter, joining our 2026 Graduate Programme. As a Stantec graduate you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your expertise within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment. Our small, close‑knit team of geo professionals is based in a wider multidisciplinary office and is part of a national ground engineering team. You will benefit from strong support from both office and technical colleagues, as well as significant guidance from senior staff within our open and collaborative culture. Both offices boast a diverse range of disciplines within the Infrastructure & Buildings engineering and design team, fostering close collaboration on numerous projects. Joining our established ground assessment team offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in analysing geological, geo‑environmental, and geotechnical data; delivering ground investigations; supporting Environmental Impact Assessments; assessing foundations, slope stability, and earthworks; creating ground models; conducting contaminated land risk assessments; developing remediation strategies; monitoring field works; designing and reporting on foundations, retaining walls, soil slope stability, earthworks, and rock slope stabilization; utilizing numerical analysis software; and collaborating with other technical experts on multidisciplinary design and construction projects. Key Responsibilities
* Analyse geological, geo‑environmental, and geotechnical data.
* Deliver ground investigations and Environmental Impact Assessments.
* Assess foundations, slope stability, and earthworks.
* Create ground models and conduct contaminated land risk assessments.
* Develop remediation strategies and monitor field works.
* Design and report on foundations, retaining walls, soil slope stability, earthworks, and rock slope stabilization.
* Utilise numerical analysis software.
* Collaborate with other technical experts on multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
Qualifications and Characteristics
* Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Contaminated Land, Environmental Sciences or a related field.
* An unconditional right to live and work in the UK for an indefinite period without limitation.
